Sri Lanka’s insurance sector is poised for growth as more people join the middle class and make plans for the future. But to secure relevance in a fast expanding market, Union Assurance needed to stand out from the competition in order to realise their vision of becoming the largest insurance provider in the country. To achieve this goal, they required a new brand, one that could win the hearts and minds of Sri Lankan customers.
Read moreTasked with creating a modern insurance brand for Sri Lanka, we designed a logo that is suggestive of the balance between support and protection. This was combined with conversational messaging, bespoke brand fonts in Sinhala and Tamil languages, people-centric photography and vibrant colours to express optimism with a Sri Lankan flavour.
Our research pointed out that Sri Lankans find the insurance category complicated. So it was essential to visually simplify information by using iconography, typography and colour in a bold and straightforward way.
Aside from customer-facing touchpoints, we developed internal branding ranging from office environments, signage, uniforms and give-aways to engage employees and signal change within the organisation.
